Ann Jones

I'm so glad I had the opportunity to spend some time with my uncle Richard before his passing. He never lost his sense of humour through it all which speaks volumes of his character. He was my favourite guy to argue a point with, which we would do frequently when I was a child, something I looked forward to doing at every family gathering. When I think of him now I think of his smile and his laugh, that was Richard. He was the intellect of the family, the guy who always had an interesting story to tell. I will miss those stories. My deepest sympathies to my mom, Ann Jones. Know that he will always be fondly remembered by me and by Maya through the games he has passed on to her and the memories I will share.

Richard, you will be forever in our hearts and your smile and laughter has made our visits memorable. From our childhood to adulthood, you were the brains and I had the determination. I could never win a chess game or checkers for that matter. I have fond memories of you listening to Bob Dylon as you sat there playing the harmonica and guitar while singing along with a twinkle in your eye. Rest in peace dear brother, we love you dearly.
Your little sister Ann.

Ann Jones and family

I was very fortunate to be able to spend some time with my uncle Richard before he passed. There are so many memories of him that I will cherish, like his intriguing stories, our games of checkers, fishing together, bird watching, and his passion for games, music, nature, and history. I will miss the hilarious birthday cards that he would send us every year with little comedic sketches inside that he wrote himself. I will always remember him for his bright smile, laugh, and his sense of humor that stayed with him until the end. My condolences go out to my mom, Ann Jones, who was his guardian angel as Richard had called her himself. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace.
