Carmen Dubeau

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Carmen Dubeau on January 29th, 2017, at the age of 72.

She was the daughter of late Thérèse Quinn and late Edmond Dubeau; beloved wife of late Jacques Aubin and of late Jean-Jacques Johanis. She leaves behind her loving children: Bernard (Carole Gauthier), Serge (Kathleen Fairnie); Jean-Jacques' children: Paul (Jo-Anne), Diane, Lucie, Michel (Jeannie), Julie (Jerry); her cherished grandchildren: Patrick, Marc-André, Dayton, Katryn, Jesse, Maxime, Alexandre, Sabrina, Marcel, Daphne, Jesse Johanis, Amy, Sarah, Luc, Max, Micha, Lili and Jade; her great-granchildren: Benjamin, Zoe, Madison, Juliana, Alexandre, Noah, Jonathan, Shiloh and Lauryn. She also leaves her brothers and sisters: Claudette, Michel (Ghyslain), Lise, Claire (Gérard), Denis (Édith), Jacques (Monique), Gérald (Aline), Robert (late Lise) and Guy as well as many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her daughter Manon (late Richard Filion); her brothers and sisters: Pierre (Monique), Nicole (Ronald), Rhéal (Vicky), Gaston (Alice), Raymond, Pierrette, Marie and Estelle.

The celebration of prayers will be held at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS, 95 Cité-des-Jeunes Blvd, in Gatineau (Hull sector), on Saturday the 11th of February 2017 at 2:00 pm . The family will receive condolences as of 1:30 pm.

For those who wish to do so, donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Résidence Villa des Brises and the Hull Hospital staff for the good care provided to her.

Carmen Dubeau

Carmen, tu as été très discrète et je suis désolée de ne pas te connaître vraiment; l'espace, le temps est souvent le grand responsable de cette réalité. Jacques me parlait de toi, dévouée, au grand cœur - aimante des enfants, patiente et aimant la vie, surtout à la roulotte. Nous avons échangé et essayé de s'arrimer dans nos relations de belle soeur, mais les occasions étaient rares. Que de beaux souvenirs en croisière, nous avons rigolé et nous nous sentions un peu plus proche. Les décès, trop tôt, des Amours de ta vie se sont succédés rapidement; la vie n'est pas facile à gérer. Tu es une mère formidable, une grand-mère "croquable", et tes petits-enfants avaient besoin de toute ces attentions délicates et remplies d'amour. Ta destinée s'est révélée tout à petit et tu avais une route à suivre avec courage et détermination. Tu as dis: Laissez moi m'envoler au delà de la terre, laissez moi m'envoler au au-dessus des misères. Repose en paix.
