BÉDARD, Robert

It is with the greatest of sadness we announce the sudden passing of 

Robert (Bob) Bédard of Hull in Fort Myers, Florida.  

Bob was 68 years of age and the much loved husband of Judith Flynn-Bédard and the greatest dad and best friend to his son Matthieu. He was also a loving godfather to Véronic Pichard. 

 Bob was born to loving parents Edouard Bédard and Yvonne Bélanger, who passed away when he was young.   He was also predeceased by his brother Jacques (Roseline).

Bob was given a second chance at family when he met Frank Pichard.  Frank took him home and Joe and Cora Pichard, (deceased) became second parents to him.  Their family, François (Louise), Andrée, Suzanne, and Madelaine (deceased) became like Bob’s brothers and sisters. He will also be deeply missed by Joe and Jody Flynn and his Flynn and Pichard nieces and nephews.

Bob was an avid golfer, hunter, boater, fisherman and sports fan. These were activities he shared with many good friends who will miss his quiet but fun loving joie de vivre. He loved life, took nothing for granted and appreciated every moment.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Saturday May 13^th at 2:00 pm and the family will greet guests  at 1:30 pm at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS 1369, boul. La Vérendrye Ouest, Gatineau (Québec) J8T 8K2.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, 40 Ruskin Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1Y 4W7.

In keeping with Bob’s style, casual attire including golf shirts are recommended.

Nous sommes restés sans voix en apprenant la mort subite de Bob! Nous nous souviendrons de lui longtemps surtout quand vous nous avez accueillis à bras ouverts lors d'un séjour à Montebello. Accueil chaleureux, soirée bien arrosée et que dire de rencontrer Bob très tôt le matin qui venait chercher son journal avec la même gaîté à peine quelques heures avant...Joie de vivre transmise en direct!

Nos vraies condoléances à toi et au fils unique avec qui j'ai déjà partagé quelques moments dans la piscine de l'auberge à Mike!!!!
