CLARKE, William (Bill) Edward

1957 - 2024

Clarke, William Edward

August 9, 1957 - April 3, 2024

Bill passed quietly in the early morning of April 3rd with family near his side. He will be greatly missed by his wife Jane, and son Zack as well as his mother Theda and brother David (Elizabeth). Bill is predeceased by his father James and older brother Robert. Since 1993 Bill was an Educational Assistant with the Ottawa Carleton District School Board working with students having special needs at both Crystal Bay Centre for Special Education and at AY Jackson High School. He will be remembered fondly by both staff and students. Our thanks go to all the visitors that came to see Bill and kept up his spirits during this tough time. Much appreciation is sent out to all the medical and assisting staff at the Queensway Carleton, Ottawa Civic Campus, The Ottawa General and last, but not least Saint-Vincent Hospitals. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the March of Dimes Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society. A Celebration of Life is to be scheduled.

Jane & Zack

My deepest sympathies to you and Zack. I will fondly remember playing euchre with you guys (girls vs boys) and Bill's extensive knowledge of 70's music.

Jane and Zach

I worked with Bill for many years at CB and can attest to his great love for his family, as he talked about them frequently, especially his son whom he was SO proud of! Bill had a wonderful sense of humour, genuine care and concern for his students and lived for his sports teams and old tv trivia. He will be missed by so many of his friends and coworkers and former baseball team members!
