1932 - 2019

C'est avec tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de

M. Allan Searle

 

décédé le 23 février 2019 à Hull, à l’âge de 86 ans. Il était le fils de feu Thomas Searle et de feu Hilda Bartlett. Il laisse dans le deuil son frère Thomas; ses 2 soeurs : Minnie (feu Lawrence Chafe) et Ruby (Leonard Earle) ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces, parents et ami(e)s. Il fut prédécédé par son frère Clyde (feu Lorraine).

 

Une cérémonie en mémoire de sa vie, en présence des cendres, aura lieu le jeudi 7 mars 2019 à 10 h à la COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L’OUTAOUAIS située au 95, boul. Cité-des-Jeunes à Gatineau (secteur Hull). La famille recevra les condoléances à compter de 9 h 30.

Family of Allan Searle

Sending my sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Allan Searle. Grampie Al was my step-grandfather (Rodney Hartlen was my father), and although it’s been several years since I’ve seen him, he was never far from my thoughts. My family were unaware that Al had passed recently, and upon receiving the news we are deeply saddened. We have very special memories of him, and will be thinking of him and his family as you lay him to rest.

Family and Freinds of Allan

We have many fond memories of Uncle Allan’s visits home to Newfoundland. He had such a wide range of interests that we could sit and chat with him about just about anything.
He loved to speak French with our daughter and enjoyed her interest in music and dance. We both work at Memorial University and he had a keen interest in that topic, especially the archives which he always found time to visit.
I wish you had to know our new son in law from Brazil. I’m sure you would have taken a great interest in learning all about him and his culture.
You were a very intelligent and kind, gentle man.
We will think of you often with great fondness Uncle Allan. Rest easy.

Allan Searle

My sincerest condolences to all the family and friends who had the privilege of knowing and loving Grampy Al He was loving,thoughtful, incredibly intelligent,vivacious, and outrageously funny. He was a ladies man who enjoyed dancing and taking his long walks. I will miss his thoughtful insights and lovingly offered advice, his insistance that I unapoligetically love myself and be true to who I am.
