Peacefully on Wednesday, April 3rd at the Gatineau Hospital at the age of 89. Beloved spouse and best friend of Alice Biehler for 64 years.  Loving father of Tony and Ronald, Ottawa, Raymond (Brenda), Kemptville, ON, grandfather of Kyle Fraser (Tara McRae), Cassleman, ON. Predeceased by his daughter Denise, and his sister Marlene Anka. John was an employee of the CIP, Gatineau, for 40 years, having retired in 1988.  Life member of The Gatineau Friendship Club.  Arrangements in care of Coopérative funéraire de l’Outaouais.  Funeral mass will be held at St. Aloysius Church, 300 de l’Abbé Murray, Gatineau on Wednesday, April 10th at 11:00 am.  The family will be present an hour before the service to receive friends and condolences.  Following the service, a reception will be held in the Church hall.  Interment Saint Jean-Marie Vianney Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, for those wishing, a memorial donation to the Gatineau Hospital, or charity of your choice would be appreciated.

So sorry to read of John’s passing. He was such a good friend to our family - always a friendly smile and always willing to share his memories in some great discussions! He will be missed. Our sympathies to Alice and to the family.
