It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of

Robert Pierre Gaudet 

from Gatineau, QC, on March 13, 2019, at the age of 57.

Predeceased by his father Edmour Gaudet, his mother Thérèse Gaudet, his brother Paul and sister Sylvia he is survived by his loving family; his wife of 20 years, Angela Mills; his daughter Elisa, his sisters Élaine (Wayne); Louise; his brothers Ray (Kelly); Marc; his nephews and nieces Mikaël (Nadine, Rafaël, Chloé), Alexi, Adrien (Ashton), Danielle (Nigel), Misha, Megan and William; his mother-in-law Betty; sister-in-law Jennifer (Murray), other family and many dear friends.

WORK HARD PLAY HARD describes Robert well.

Born and raised in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan on July 11, 1961 Robert graduated from Laval University QC in 1985 with a degree in Agricultural Economics, Bachelor of Applied Sciences and previously attended Collège Mathieu in Gravelbourg, SK. He was a successful entrepreneur in the local community for 20 years, having created Capital Karting and Entreposage Aylmer Inc. in partnership with his brother Marc. He was a courageous, adventuresome, accomplished man, with incredible energy, skill, knowledge, devotion, caring, sensitivity, joy for life and family. A passionate conversationalist with a love of world affairs. He loved playing jazz piano and the outdoors for boating, fishing, cycling, and skating.  Making bread and his own maple syrup were amongst his many other interests. He was beginning to obtain his personal pilot license. He is sorely missed.

A celebration of life will be held in the months to come

Cher Robert,
Quel triste événement que ton départ.... presque 30 ans depuis notre dernière rencontre. Nous nous sommes connus à l’université.....et avons partagé des rires, des fou-rires... des moments extraordinaires, simples, heureux,..... Tu étais un jeune homme qui s’emerveillait à la beauté du jour, de la nuit, de l’Etre....
J’ai souvent pensé à toi.....mais la VIE n’a permis que nos chemins se croisent que pour ces moments de pur bonheur. Que ta VIE qui commence là où tu es maintenant soit douce et bonne !

J’ai étudié avec Robert en agroeconomie à l’université laval. À l’époque, il portait une belle moustache retroussée qui lui donnait un petit air de cow-boy de l’ouest et le rendait très sympathique! Je garde un merveilleux souvenir de lui! Sociable, avenant, drôle! Il croquait dans la vie et il apportait une couleur particulière à notre bande d’amis étudiants. Bien triste que tu sois parti si jeune cher Robert. Je continues de te porter dans mon cœur. J’offre mes plus profondes sympathies à sa famille et amis. Nul doute que tu vas beaucoup nous manquer
