Kezar, Joyce

KEZAR, Joyce

1925 - 2024

Born in North Hatley, Quebec, Joyce attended North Hatley School and then completed nursing training in 1948 through the Sherbrooke Hospital. She provided care in numerous departments, including ICU, making lifelong friends. Although she retired in 1984 she never stopped caring for others.

Joyce wed Alden Parker on June 26, 1948. They raised three children Jane, Scott, and Cheryl in Lennoxville until moving to Cowansville in 1971. In 1973, the family relocated to Fort Lauderdale, FL. In 1980, Joyce and Alden moved back to Lennoxville.

After Alden’s passing, Joyce remained independent, residing in Lennoxville until she moved to Grace Village.

Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Alden, daughter Jane, and son Scott. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl King (David); her grandchildren Cindy Provost (Paul), Randall Alemy (Lara), Andrew Whyte (Tracy), and Rebecca Alemy (Marc Quirion) as well as great grandchildren Maya Provost, Morgan Alemy, Ella Provost, Gavin Alemy, and Valerie Whyte.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to John and Sandy Klinck for their years of friendship, love, and support.

Thanks as well to Christine, Minna, and Trudy for their friendship and visits. Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Grace Village for their exceptional care.

Jesus said ``I am the door, if any man enters in he shall be saved and shall go in and out and find pasture.`` John 10:9

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Dr. W.J. Klinck Foundation or Frontier Lodge.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 4, 2024 at the Grace Village followed by the interment at the Malvern cemetery. Reception to follow at Grace Village.

Family of Joyce Kezar

My heart felt sympathies. What a lovely gentle lady and a very caring nurse who I had the privilege to work with at SH.
