Katharina “Kay” Kardos,

KATHARINA “KAY” KARDOS,

2021

Passed away at Teck-Pioneer Residence on Friday, February 16, 2018. She was a loving wife and best friend to Arpad, deceased in 2006. Dear sister of Erna Deutsch & her husband Laszlo of Kirkland Lake. A wonderful aunt to Roland Deutsch & his wife Tina of Peterborough, Ilona Bruneau & her husband Rick and her very cherished grand nephew Tyler of Kirkland Lake, Ursula Deutsch and special grandnephews Doron, Jadon, Aaron and Ethon of Florida and Ursula Becker & her husband Karl of Germany. She is predeceased by her husband Arpad, her parents; Johann and Barbara Horner and eleven brothers and sisters. Kay and Arpad enjoyed travelling; visiting family and friends in Europe and enjoying warm and sunny destinations. Kay enjoyed many outings to Tim Hortons and the Pagoda where she enjoyed good food and conversation. Kay always found time to share a good story or a simple smile to everyone she came in contact with along the way. She was loved and will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at the TPR for the excellent care and kindness she received during her stay.AquaCremation:

To: Kay’s Family and many friends We were very sorry to read of Kay’ s passing. She was a generous lady with a wonderful, feisty attitude and great approach to life . Whether it was in the grocery store, coffee shop or at her home where I would occasionally do some minor chores for her she was a treat to be around. We will miss her.–Brian and Gale

I have missed having Kay in my life the last several years. Like most people I loved listening to her stories and she loved it when I had my car and would go pick her up to take her to Timmies and always brought my dog. She loved the dogs and always had treats for them in her purse or pockets. Rest peacefully Kay and I hope Abby was waiting there for you.

Kay was a special lady. She always had a smile and a kind word whenever we ran into each other as she had worked with my father (Herman) many years ago at Kirkland Cleaners when I was a child. Please accept my condolences Rest In Peace Kay
