Kenneth E. Skjonsby,

KENNETH E. SKJONSBY,

2021

Kenneth Edward Skjonsby – Died peacefully at Teck Pioneer Residence, with family at his side on February 17th, 2020 at the age of 83 years.A hard-working, peaceful man who loved his hope, family, the north, and his life-long home in Bourkes, passed away peacefully with his family by his side.He was predeceased by his father Aksel, his mother Rachel, and his brothers Arthur and Sidney. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary, and children Tim (Kim), Stephen, and Tina (Dustin). He treasured his grandchildren Mia, Isabella, Aksel, Maxx, Evelyn, and Elsa.Regrettably, this is not the first time his family has grieved. In 1995, Ken suffered a severe traumatic head injury that he miraculously survived. This led Ken and his family on a long path of recovery and support. The family is eternally grateful for all the compassion and wisdom of those they met along this path; the expert care from all front line staff at TPR was especially comforting.Despite all of the trials, it was always Ken’s strength, peaceful nature, and genuine kindness that inspired those around him to work harder. This strength came from his hope that he held dear. He was a spiritual man, which brought him peace and endurance, and made him a wonderful example for us all.Memorial Service:
