FIELD, Eva

1933 - 2023

In loving memory of Mrs. Eva May Field (nee Black) who passed away peacefully, with family by her side, at the Englehart Hospital, on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the age of 90.

Eva was born on January 3, 1933, the youngest of eight children to John and Jane Black. She lived her entire life in the small community of Englehart and could not have been happier with her quiet and peaceful life. She enjoyed her work as a young woman at the local Farmer's Store until she married the love of her life, Elmer, and then devoted her life to him and their five children. Along with Elmer, they were parents to not only their own children but to many others over the years. Their door was always open to anyone who needed a place to eat, sleep, or just hang out. Eva's cinnamon buns, cookies, and homemade preserves were legendary, and many people benefited from her generosity and sharing of her delicious goodies. When the grandchildren started arriving, addition of her great grandchildren. Eva was thrilled to become “Nannie” to each of her grandchildren and things only got better with the addition of her great grandchildren.

Predeceased by her husband, Elmer, whom she missed dearly since 2014, and her siblings Winnifred, Merlin, Elgin, Lillian, Wallace, Milford, and Hazel. Loving mother to Linda (Rod Plaunt), Brian (Jane), Brent (Lorri Spaans), Cathy (Rick Wilson), and Cindy (Dan Elwes). Dear Nannie of Cody, Kendra (Scott), Brad, Beth (Gustavo), Carolyn, Erica, Anthony (Talia), Connor (Vicky), Kali (Shawn), Josh, Mackenzie, Jacob, Grace, Anna, Krew, Gavin , Tyce, Ashton, and Leana.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Englehart Hospital for the exceptional care given during Eva's final days. There will never be enough thanks that can be expressed to granddaughter, Kendra, for her incredible care of her Nannie that allowed Eva to live independently for her entire life.

Visitation will be held at McDonald's Funeral Home on Thursday, March 23 from 7 to 9pm. A funeral service will be held at the Good Shepherd Church on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 2pm.

Contributions to the Gideons or the charity of your choice in memory of Eva would be appreciated.
