1930 - 2025

It is with regret that we announce the passing of Gérard Simard on April 25th, 2025, at the age of 94. He was Geraldine Redmond’s husband, with 66 years of marriage. He was the son of the late Louis Simard and of the late Adela Théorêt. He leaves behind his children: Diane (Dave), Don (Diane), Mary (Richard), Peter (Celine), Paul (Cathy), Brian (Sheena), Michael (Nathalie), Jean-François (Méline), Daniel (Mélanie). He also leaves 32 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren, his sister Jeannine (late Raymond) as well as relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Lynn.

Visitations will be held on Thursday May 8th, 2025, from 12:00pm to 3:00pm and from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at LA COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L’OUTAOUAIS, located at 116 Maclaren Street East, in Gatineau (Buckingham sector). The funeral service will be held on Friday May 9th, 2025, at 11:00 am at L’Ange-Gardien Church located at 255, rue du Progrès, Gatineau (Angers sector) in Gatineau. The family will receive condolences at the Church starting at 10:30am.

Geraldine and Family

Ken and I would like to send all the Simard Family our sincere condolences for the loss of your Dad and your Husband Geraldine, Thank you for allowing us to be a part of the memories made over the years with Gerry, Like his Big Birthday celebration.
