It is with deepest regret we announce the passing of

Huguette Fredro-Boniecki (née Galipeau)

Huguette passed away peacefully on January 18, 2019 at the age of 75 in the loving care of the Maison Mathieu-Froment-Savoie.

She was the loving wife of Władysław (Charles) Fredro-Boniecki, mother of Stefan (Zofia) and André (Julie) and dear Babcia of Izabela, Jakob, Ethan, Edward and Kalie.  Predeceased by her parents Cécile Imbeau and Isidore Galipeau, sister to Claire, Aline, Gaston, Gilbert, Gerard, Madelaine, Marcelle, Jeannine and Denise. She was beloved Auntie to many nieces and nephews and sister-in-law to Teresa, Witold and the Sulimirski family.

Huguette was born in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario and her family moved to Toronto shortly thereafter. Work brought her to Montreal, where she worked at Expo 67 and was married. She eventually moved to Ottawa, where she had a long and exciting career with Air Canada and spent 2 years at the University of Ottawa learning Polish.

She enjoyed a quiet life with the simple things and mainly spending time with family. She played the piano, was an accomplished painter, enjoyed tending to her magnificent flower garden and was an excellent and dedicated homemaker.

For those who wish to do so, donations in her memory to the Maison Mathieu Froment-Savoie would be greatly appreciated.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 2 pm to 4 pm at La maison Mathieu Froment-Savoie, 170 Sherbrooke Street in Gatineau (Hull sector).

We would especially like to thank all the staff and volunteers at the Maison Mathieu Froment-Savoie to whom our family will be forever grateful.

I am so sad to hear of Huguette's passing. One of the most wonderful of persons that I was lucky enough to know and work with at Air Canada. Genuinely thoughtful and kind.
