KUCHARCZYK, Jan

1925 - 2023

Jan Kucharczyk

May 24, 1925 - November 1, 2023

Our beloved father and patriarch left us to be with the Lord on November 1, 2023 in his 98th year. A fitting departure on All Saints Day, Jan will be our guiding angel for eternity.

Born in Siekluki, Poland in 1925, Jan is predeceased by his parents Josefa and Jan Sr., as well as his five siblings. Until the end of his life, Jan mourned the loss of the love of his life, wife and mother of his children, Irena Kucharczyk who passed in her 60th year in 1985.

He leaves behind his life partner (Maria Przydzielska), daughter (Margaret Tomala), son (Tomasz Kucharczyk), in-laws, three grandchildren as well as dozens of cousins and relatives in Poland.

In accordance with Jan’s wishes, he will be cremated and buried in Warsaw, Poland. A Catholic mass honouring his life and memory will take place on Friday, November 10th, 2023 at Saint Hyacinth Roman Catholic Polish Church in Ottawa at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, please consider making a donation to The Saint Patrick’s Home of Ottawa Foundation in Jan’s memory. Jan lived at St. Pat’s for the last two years of his life and received the most compassionate and loving care a family could ever wish for their loved ones. Our family is forever grateful to the Doctors,  Nurses, PSWs, staff and volunteers who have made St. Pat’s an exceptional place for seniors in the Ottawa community.  https://stpatsfoundation.ca/tribute/
