It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Laure Lapointe Mc Gowan, on October 28, 2025, at the age of 103.

Our mother has gone to join our father, Brian, and our brother, Paul. She was the daughter of the late Camille Lapointe and the late Cora Bolduc.

She is survived by her children, Linda and Michael (Batty Kanokluk Markrung), her two granddaughters, Melissa and Cindy Hamel Mc Gowan, and her two great-granddaughters, Megan and Erika Lambert. She also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Pierrette Lapointe, as well as several nephews and nieces.  She was predeceased by her sisters Jeannine, Thérèse, Isabelle, and Rachel, as well as her brothers Guy, Jules, Claude, Fernand, and Gérard.

The family invites you to the visitation at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS, located at 95 de la Cité des Jeunes Boulevard in Gatineau (Hull sector) on November 21st, 2025 from 2 pm to 5 p.m.

The funeral will take place on November 22nd at 2 p.m. at Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette Church, located at 49, rue des Saules. The family will receive condolences starting at 1:15 p.m.

Expressions of sympathy may be made through a donation to a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank the staff of the 7th floor East of the Ottawa General Hospital as well as the staff of the 8th floor of the CISSSO Hôpital de Hull for the excellent care provided.
