Lloyd Rowe

1935-2025

With deep sorrow and much love, we mourn the peaceful passing of our loving father Lloyd W. Rowe on Saturday, April 19, 2025, in his 90th year. Born June 6, 1935, in Montreal, QC, Canada, he was adopted by Mr. Anson Rowe and Mrs. Celia Rowe. Lloyd will be reunited with his loving and adoring wife Janet Ann Kinder who predeceased him on Dec. 3, 2023, after 62 years of marriage. Survived by his daughters Linda Ann (Jacques Leclair) and Patricia Elizabeth.

Lloyd was predeceased by his parents Mrs. Iola Seary and Mr. Patrick Seary; his little brother Brent Seary (Jan. 23, 1941-Dec. 31, 1942); his sisters and their spouses Marion Seary (Gaetan Girard), Elaine Seary (Norman Cameron) and Gail Seary (Gilles Nadon). He is survived by his brother Wayne Seary (late Nancy Black). He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Dale Kinder (Suzanne Mailloux). Lloyd will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, family, friends, neighbors and by the students he drove to school for the 30 years with the ETSB as the best school bus driver.

He was a proud farmer who loved the many visits to his home, especially during hunting season when he would see, as he called them, ‘his boys’ come to hunt on the property. Always with a pair of binoculars, he would watch over the property and loved seeing the deer in the fields.

We would like to express our gratitude to Catherine Bolduc for her compassionate care and much kindness shown to Dad by spending quality time, as he always looked forward to her visits. Catherine became a special friend and a part of our family. Dad was a man of integrity, kindness and generosity as he left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A special thank you to the personnel at the residence Bourg-Joli for the excellent care given to Dad. We are very grateful that Dad could spend his final days at the residence surrounded by his family and friends.

May we find comfort in knowing that Dad’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us with his easy-going character, his quick ‘wit’, the love he showed his family and the memories we will cherish forever in our hearts. As he ended each and every phone call with ‘Bye for now, may he rest in peace, gone but not forgotten.

There will be a visitation on June 21st at Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St, Lennoxville, from 11:30-1:15, followed immediately by the funeral service at 1:30. The burial will follow at the Malvern Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Pet Connection, 1730 Rue Wellington S., Sherbrooke, QC, J1M1K9

My deepest sympathy to you Linda and all your family. I enjoyed all the good times that I spend with your dad. I did not know Lloyd for a very long time. He was a caring, loving and a great man. I was fond of your dad. I will cherish all the memories of Lloyd. May he rest in peace. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love Catherine Bolduc
