Marc passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 31st from mixed dementia after a 3½ month stay in a long term care home in Bourget, Ontario. Before his time in long term care Marc lived in the Ogilvie Villa retirement home in Ottawa for 15 months.
He was the loving brother of Claire Lebeau, Suzanne Caissy, Joanne Caissy (Louis-Paul Allard),and Madeleine Caissy. Pre-deceased by his birth parents Claire Guité and Paul-Emile Caissy and his adoptive parents Rhéa Giroux and Roland Lebeau.

Mark found a welcoming community at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ottawa and used his experience and education as a homilist, lector and Eucharistic minister.
After his retirement from teaching Mark continued his contribution to St. Joseph’s and also traveled in Canada, the United States, Ireland, Iceland and the Netherlands with his partner Jeff.
