BELAND, Norman

1944 - 2025

It is with great sadness that the family of Mike (Norman) Beland of North Hatley announce his passing surrounded by his family on Tuesday, November 4, at the age of 81.

Mike will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Elaine (Danforth); children, Tina and Lori (Demers) (Pierre Demers);  grandchildren, Catherine and Dominic; siblings, Pat and Albert; and numerous other family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Mike was predeceased by his parents, Theodore and Dorothy; his young son, Danny and his sisters Dora and Diane.

He will be remembered as a humble, dependable resilient man, for the dedication to family, his strong work ethic and for his passion of his hobby pursuits especially darts and hunting.
While his presence was quiet and unassuming, it was a powerful and a constant assurance to all who knew him. Though a man of few words, he shared with many his wise tidbits of knowledge and he possessed a sharp, quiet wit, often delivering a perfectly timed one-liner that would bring a smile to everyone's face.

His family will host a celebration of his life for family and friends to share stories and fond memories.
The celebration will take place on Sunday, November 16th from 2-4:30pm at the North Hatley Legion, located at 95 Jackson Heights, North Hatley.

Our deepest sympathies to Elaine, Lori, Tina and the entire family.
Mike was a kind and wonderful man.
I remember him fondly from all our campaign days in Bacons Bay when we were young and also from playing darts together over the years.
