FOOKS LINDSAY, Rebecca

Passed away at home in Toronto on 5 August 2019.  Predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Kenneth Raymond Lindsay and survived by her four children and spouses: Susan (Adam), Thomas (Harriet), Ashley (Janet) and Holly (Mark). She is remembered with love by her grandchildren, Nicole, Anna, Sarah, Sam and Georgia. Born in Georgetown Delaware in 1929, she earned her BA (Arts) at McGill University and married Ken in 1953. Becky and Ken purchased a home on Cape Cod, Massachusetts where wonderful summers were spent together.  The family is deeply grateful Krista Mennell, Karen Royal, Leta Pojani, Hannah Nadler, Dickey Dolkar, Chris Juhani, Ariel Condino and everyone who helped her enjoy her years at Christie Gardens. The memorial service will be held in the East Chapel of Timothy Eaton Memorial Church at 1pm on 9 August. If desired, donations to St Jude’s Church in Oakville, Christie Gardens Foundation, CNIB, or Toronto Public Library would be appreciated. Ashley and family

I am so saddened to hear of “mommy Becky” passing. She was a very kind lady and we will miss having her visit us all for lunch at the hotel. We will be thinking of you all and send our deepest condolences.

Tom & Harriet

Tom, what a lovely photo of your Mom! It surely must help you remember her entire life and the beautiful young woman she was and just the recent past.
Still remember her asking you if she could have a glass of wine at the Club and you, as the doting son, readily agreeing she could.
We are unable to attend the memorial service, however, have made a donation in your Mom's memory to the CNIB.
Our thoughts are with Harriet and yourself at this time and always.
