FOURNIER LÉCUYER, Rolande

It is with great sorrow that we announce that Mrs. Rolande Lécuyer (née Fournier) passed away peacefully Saturday, May 31^st 2025 in the evening, at the age of 93.  She was the wife of the late Noël Lécuyer, the daughter of the late Joseph Amable Fournier and of the late Marie Philippe.

She leaves behind her children Suzanne (Gérard Lafrance), Marc (Karen White), Louise and Lynne (Mario Prud’homme); her grandchildren Éric, Geneviève, Stéphanie, Benoît, Patrick, Steven, Véronique and Catherine as well as many great-grandchildren that will forever cherish her memory.

A celebration of her life, in the presence of her ashes, in order to honour her, will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 2 p.m at la Coopérative funéraire de l’Outaouais, 1369 La Vérendrye Boulevard in Gatineau. Family will receive condolences as of 1:15.  It will be possible to view the ceremony, live or by replay, at https://commemora.tv/fr/diffusions/111302  In case of a technical problem, it will be possible to view at a later date.

The family wishes to thank most sincerely La Résidence De La Gappe, the personnel of the Emergency Unit and of the Palliative Care Unit at the Gatineau Hospital as well as all the caretakers that accompanied her with kindness and devotion until her very last moments.

Lynne, mes soeurs et moi sommes tristes d'apprendre le décès de ta maman. La perte d'une mère laisse un vide difficile à apprivoiser. Il faut beaucoup de temps pour s'y faire, et apprendre à vivre sans celle qui était le noyau de la famille. Nous vous offrons à toi et les membres de la famille de Rolande nos sincères condoléances et courage pour traverser cette dure épreuve. Depuis le décès de maman l'automne dernier, nous apprenons à continuer sans elle, la peine est encore très vive, et nous laissons le temps faire son travail.
Nous vous souhaitons paix et sérénité.
