BERTHEL, Denis

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Denis Berthel on July 10, 2025, at the age of 70. Denis had just celebrated this milestone birthday with his loved ones. He was the cherished son of the late DesAnges Berthel (the late Robert Lepage) and the late Clair Berthel.

Denis will be forever remembered by his sons, Marquis (Chloé) and Hugo Lachance-Berthel, and their mother Angèle Lachance. He leaves behind his devoted siblings: Michel (Sylvie Touchette), Lise-Anne, Nicole (Jean Lemay), and Lucie (Marc Tremblay). Denis was also a beloved uncle to Lindsay and Melissa Cochrane, Isabelle, François (Kathryn) and Catherine Lemay, and Vincent and Dominique Tremblay. He will also be deeply missed by his many uncles, aunts, cousins, and dear friends.

A private celebration of Denis’ life will be held at a later date with only family and close friends, as per his wishes.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to organizations supporting mental health awareness and services, in Denis’ memory.
