BOUFFARD, Denis

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Denis Joseph Bouffard. He was born on February 27, 1935, in Palmer, Saskatchewan, and passed away on July 1, 2025, at Santé Bruyère – Saint-Vincent Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario, at the age of 90. He was the son of the late Achille Bouffard and the late Rosiana Guenette.

He is mourned by his brother, Father Albert Bouffard, OMI of Winnipeg; his sister Jeanne Bouffard Lebleu and her family in California; his sister-in-law Laurie Bouffard and her family in Calgary; his sister-in-law Madeleine and her family in Gatineau; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends in Ottawa. He was predeceased by his brothers and sister Arthur Bouffard, Réo Bouffard, Jean-Claude Bouffard, Florence Bouffard (Bolen), Paul Bouffard, and Archie Bouffard.

A gifted student in his youth, Denis became a teacher and later completed his career as a Committee Clerk with the federal government. He was a man who loved discovering new cultures, countries, and train travel—but above all, he was devoted to his family and friends.
