In Loving Memory of Dianne Lafleche (née Rivett)
Dianne Leah Lafleche, beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home at 60 years old after a short but courageous battle from COPD in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. She leaves behind a legacy of resilience, dedication to family, and empathy that will be carried on with her children.
Born on October 1st 1964 to Mervin and Alice Rivett, in Kirkland Lake, where she later met the love of her life, Danny, where they had 3 beautiful children.
She is survived by her Husband of 37 years, Daniel, devoted Children, Casey (Peter) - Ottawa, Brody - Sesekinika, and Jesse (Shane) - Sudbury, and her loving Grandchildren (August, Atticus, and Poppy), as well as her Grand fur babies, Jerome, Duchess, Tika and Lola. She also leaves behind her two nieces who she considered children Kristin, and Tiffany (Darryl), and her great niece and nephew, Khloe, and Jeremy, and our loving Aunt Cindy.
She is predeceased by her parents Mervin (2008), and Alice Rivett (2012), her brothers Mervin Leslie (1970), and her brother Henry (2022).
She grew up with a strong passion for work, which she passed onto her children, where she graduated from the Personal Support Work at Northern College, and later worked at Teck Pioneer Residence for nearly 31 years before retiring to focus on her health and family, as a PSW caring for many of their residents, before moving on to become a Dietary Aide in the Kitchens at Teck Pioneer in 2003.
Dianne was known for her passion for thrifting, and finding a great deal, a source of humour for her children. Nothing could get a smile on her face faster than her telling a story of a great deal she had found. We also will remember our Mom as a devoted Wife to Danny, and her love of her Pomeranians over the years. (Blue, Poopsi, Licorice, Gracie, and Finnagen, and Zoey), as well as her love of camping with family and friends at Log-Graves, and Raven Beach in Larder Lake.
As per our Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
In honor of our mom, who adopted many animals, donations can be made to the Advocates for Northern Animals (https://www.anapetrescue.com/donate).
A memorial service will not be held, but a Celebration of Life will be held with immediate family at a later date.
Our Mom's departure has left a void in our hearts, but we take solace in knowing that her memory will live on through the lives of her family. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered. We will always love you Mom.
I am sending my most heartfelt condolences in the loss of Dianne. She worked alongside me at TPR for many years and we shared going to school from grade 2 and up through highschool, birthday months and most of all a friendship. This saddens me and I am in disbelief. I am so, so sorry to hear this. You are all in my thoughts as you navigate this loss of your Mom and wife!

My deepest condolences on the loss of Dianne. Though we only worked together briefly, she was a fantastic coworker. Hardworking and always made work a fun place to be when she was on shift with you. You could always count on some laughs and big smiles when Dianne was on shift. She will be greatly missed.

I was very shocked to find out about Dianne and the health problem she went thru. Now she can take deep breaths with no pain. You were always so friendly when I bumped into you such a nice woman to chat with. Hope you enjoyed being reunited with brothers and parents. We will all be reunited one day. RIP Dianne
I would like to send our deepest condolences from our family to yours. I worked with Dianne for several years at TPR. Our children played together as youngsters and were at each other’s houses constantly. She was a loving mom, coworker and friend. RIP Dianne ️
