DESJARDINS, Jeannine

It is with regret that we inform you of the death of Mrs. Jeannine Desjardins on April 25, 2025. She would have celebrated her 77th birthday in a few weeks. She was the daughter of the late Georges-Étienne Desjardins and the late Lucienne Parisien.

The eldest of seven children, Jeannine is survived by her sisters Francine (late Gordon Watts), Georgette (Regent Desormeaux) and Agathe (Christian Laframboise), her brothers Yvon (Sylvie) and Claude. She will be missed by many cousins. She was predeceased by her sister Danielle.

Jeannine has worked at Algonquin College and the City of Ottawa for several years. She loved discovering new French-speaking authors.

A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025 at 10 am at Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa.

For those who wish to do so, donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or the Beechwood Cemetery Foundation would be appreciated.
