In Loving Memory of Paul Bisson

1951 to 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Paul Bisson, a beloved father, a brother, a cousin, a friend, business man and teacher who departed this life on October 7th at the age of 73.

Born on November 11th in Ottawa, Paul was a man of great intellect, ambition, and resilience. His lifelong passion for aviation took him to the skies early in life, where he spent countless hours piloting his plane, sharing his love of aviation with family, friends, and anyone lucky enough to ride co-pilot.  Whether soaring above quiet country fields or landing on lakes to go fishing, flying was more than a passion — it was a way of life.

As the founder and owner of multiple businesses over the years, Paul built more than just a business—he built a legacy of integrity, hard work, and service to others. He was known for his unwavering commitment to excellence and the genuine relationships formed with customers, employees, and fellow business leaders.

Later in life, Paul brought his business talents into the classroom, serving as a business administration university teacher with the same passion and rigor he applied to his businesses. He was a natural teacher—encouraging, insightful, and patient—known for his ability to bring real-world experience into academic life. His students and colleagues admired his integrity and his deep commitment to learning. He was that rare person who wanted everyone around him to succeed and do well.

Paul was preceded in death by his father Jacques Bisson and his mother Colette Frapier, he is survived by his children Geneviève (Jean-Paul) and Patrick as well as his grandchildren Sébastien, Tobi and Amélie, his brother Jean (Carole), his sister Chrystiane (Pierre) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, second cousins and friends who will carry his memory with pride and gratitude, and he will be sadly missed by Connie.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 7th, 2025 at 2 p.m. at La Coopérative funéraire de l’Outaouais - Pavillon La Vérendrye at 1369, La Vérendrye O. Bvld in Gatineau. The family will receive condolences as of 1:15 p.m. You will be able to watch the ceremony live or in replay via the following link: https://commemora.tv/fr/diffusions/116023

Connie and the Bisson family

Paul was a quiet man in a noisy world. He lived a good life and lived it well. I enjoyed the time I got to spend with him and will miss him. Rest eternal grant unto him.

Connie Roberts and the Bisson family

My late husband, Geoff Arron, and I met Paul several times. We greatly enjoyed flying with him and Connie and there was much hilarity. Connie and Paul visited us in Oakville, ON and we and some friends all enjoyed some foolish times with our vast costume collection. Congratulations on living a very large life. That's the trick!

Paul Bisson's Family and Friends

Paul, my friend and former business partner, had a saying he lived by:
"To whom much is given, much is expected."
It wasn’t just a quote to him—it was a responsibility.
In our years working together, I saw him try, sincerely and earnestly, to honor that belief in every opportunity we took on.

Like all of us, not everything he attempted turned out the way he hoped.
But what mattered was his heart: he showed up, he tried to build something meaningful, and he felt a duty to the people who built it with him….until he couldn’t do it anymore because of his health issues.

One of the best ways we can honor his memory is by living out that same principle—by carrying forward the commitments, relationships, and responsibilities he cared about.
That’s how his values continue on.

Rest in peace, Paul.
