He was a consummate journalist with a a sharp pen and an even sharper sense of humour.

Many memories

Learned a lot from Tim. An old school reporter with a keen eye and an exact pen. Will always remember smokes outside Centre Block and buying hot dogs with melted cheese from the “Polish lady.” Keep’em accountable up there, Tim. You’re missed down here.

Tim Naumetz

I was lucky to get to know Tim well while we both worked in the Hot Room. We was generous with his knowledge of politics. We had sailing adventures together. I will miss him.

Saskatchewan Transplant

Tim interviewed me for several stories over the years and we usually had time to swap memories about our Saskatchewan heritage. He always had direct questions, no b.s. or bias, and wasn't shy of pointing out contradictions. It will be said many times, but he was the best kind of old school reporter, keeping Canadians informed.
